In his time off, Dr. Alnas enjoys spending time with his family, reading, swimming, and biking.

Majd Alnas, MD, FCCP

Dr. Alnas received his medical degree from Damascus University where he graduated among the top of his class. He subsequently did his Internship and residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Michigan followed by pulmonary disease fellowship at Marshall University in West Virginia. During his residency and fellowship Dr. Alnas was recognized by his mentors and peers as an outstanding physician and received several awards for academic excellence. He authored and co-authored several peer reviewed articles in highly respected journals. He also presented breakthrough research at national meetings

Dr. Alnas specializes in advanced and minimally invasive endoscopic procedures including Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) and Bronchial Thermoplasty (BT). He has advanced training in Ultrasound use for bedside procedures to increase success rate and minimize complications. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. Dr. Alnas is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.
 

 

Dr. Alnas joined Trinity hospitals and clinics/Iowa health system in 2009 where he practiced Pulmonary and Sleep medicine for two years. He served as medical director for the school of respiratory therapy. Dr. Alnas followed his passion for learning and joined Baylor College of Medicine for a dedicated Critical Care fellowship in 2011; He was recognized as an “Excellent clinician, with excellent procedures skills”. Dr. Alnas is the founder of Houston Lung and Sleep Clinic.
